About
Jenesis is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We have three separate Room-and-Board Programs and are certified by Kern County Mental Health as a Sober Living Home. This organization was founded due to the director's passion in helping those who have a history (examples include: a mental disability, alcohol- and drug- addiction, or a criminal background) and is looking for someone who will give them a chance as they are seeking to recover and receive treatment. Furthermore, Jenesis values in providing its residents a secure housing as they go out into the community to find jobs.
Many people provided support, care, and their time, and thus, helped Jenesis grow into what it has come to be today, a successful non-profit organization. Through the hard work, dedication, and passion of the director, its staff, and its volunteers, Jenesis was able to expand to include a recycling center and an auto repair shop, which were opened for the purpose of giving its residents an opportunity to get the necessary training and hands-on experience that will help them develop important job skills and behaviors that positively contributes to the community. Jenesis values each and every life, and understands how much a helping hand can mean to someone who needs it.
